A review of the leading contractors for new residential construction in Florida during the month of July
Based on HBW’s latest Construction Data Reports, there were approximately 7,450 new residential construction permits added to the HBW database for Florida during the month of July. Out of the hundreds of contractors with new permits on record last month, there were a few that carried approximately 30 percent of all new construction activity in the Sunshine State, and those builders are as follows:
#1 – Lennar Homes – 941 permits
#2 – D.R. Horton – 742 permits
#3 – Pulte Homes – 559 permits
When looking at specific Florida regions, home builders driving new residential construction figures varied by location. Out of the five regions reviewed (Southeast, Southwest, Tampa, Orlando, Jacksonville), Lennar Homes ranked #1 in three out five areas, while Pulte Homes and Dream Finders Construction took top placement in the remaining regions reviewed.
Here is a closer look at the contractors with the greatest volume of new residential construction activity in Florida, by region, for the month of July 2022:
Southwest
In Southwest Florida, there were more than 400 active contractors with new home construction activity on record for the month, and the following ranked as the top five for total new permits:
