A list of Florida’s leading home builders based on permit data on record with HBW for the month of February
If you follow the HBW blog, then you know that we recently reported that there were 5,685 new residential construction permits with a total construction value of nearly $1.85 billion added to the HBW database for Florida last month. The figures were derived from HBW’s latest construction data reports covering new home construction and permitting activity across the Sunshine State.
Today, we will be using the same reports to review and identify the leading residential construction contractors that are behind the permit data in each of the five major regions of Florida (Southeast, Southwest, Tampa, Orlando, Jacksonville). Statewide, two home builders have continued to have a strong presence in the market. Holding more than 25 percent of all new residential construction permits for the month, both Lennar Homes (827 permits) and D.R. Horton (603 permits) are major powerhouses that are positioned on the leaderboard in every region reviewed.
