As reported earlier this week in the previous post, “Texas Residential Construction – October 2023”, there were more than 7,280 new residential construction permits with a total construction value of nearly $2.2 billion added to the HBW database for Texas last month. While we reviewed the total number of permits and leading areas for new home construction in the previous post, today we are taking a deeper dive into the latest construction data reports to identify leading contractors driving the market within each of the four major metro areas of Texas (Houston, Dallas, Austin, San Antonio).
Statewide, Lennar Homes ranked #1 for new home construction, having more than 655 new residential construction permits on record for October and carrying the greatest amount of new residential construction permits in two out four of the regions reviewed. Next in line, D.R. Horton had more than 585 new residential construction permits on record from all metro areas combined.
Based on the latest construction data reports from HBW, the leading contractors in each of the four metro areas of Texas during the month of October 2023 are as follows:
Houston
There were more than 340 contractors with new residential construction activity on record in the Houston area last month, and the following ranked as the top five for total new permits:
