A review of residential construction permits added to the HBW database during the month of October 2020 for the State of Texas
Last month, there were more than 7,300 new residential construction permits with a total construction value of approximately $1.7 billion added to the HBW database for the Lone Star State, reflecting a 6 percent month-over-month decrease in new home construction activity. Out of the four major metropolitan areas included in the report (Dallas, Houston, Austin, San Antonio), the greatest concentration of new home construction activity could be found in the Houston area (3,509 permits), while the highest average value of new residential construction projects remained in Dallas (average value: $272,926).
