Based on the latest HBW construction data reports, there have been approximately 535 new swimming pool construction permits with a total value in excess of $36.5 million on record for the Lone Star State last month. Data from the reports were derived from permits acquired from each of the four major metro areas of Dallas, Houston, Austin, and San Antonio. Out of the four regions reviewed, the greatest concentration of new swimming pool construction could be found in Dallas (253 permits), while the highest average value of new pool construction could be found in Houston (average value: $87,396).
Here is a closer look at the total permits, average value of construction and leading contractors for new swimming pools in Texas during the month of November:
Dallas
Last month, there were 253 new swimming pool permits with a total construction value of approximately $17.6 million in the Dallas area. The average value of construction was $69,555, and more than half of all new permits originated from the two counties of Denton (71 permits) and Collin (62 permits).
Out of approximately 135 contractors with new swimming pool construction activity on record in the Dallas area last month, the following ranked as the top three for total new permits:

Houston
Houston ranked #2 for new pool construction having 143 new permits with a total value of $12.5 million on record last month. The average value of new swimming pool construction was highest in the Houston area (average value: $87,396) in comparison to other Texas regions reviewed, and the majority of construction took place in Harris County where there were 101 new permits for the one-month period.
Out of nearly 95 pool contractors will new construction activity on record in the Houston area last month, the following ranked as the top three for total new permits:

Austin
In Austin, there were 72 new swimming pool construction permits with a total value of approximately $3.6 million on record last month. The average value of new pool permits landed on the lower end of the spectrum in Austin (average value: $49,917) in comparison to other Texas areas reviewed, and the bulk of all new permits originated from Travis County (54 permits).
Out of 45 pool builders with new construction permits on record for Austin last month, the following ranked as the top three for total new permits:

Last month, there were more than 65 new swimming pool construction permits with a total value of nearly $2.9 million added to the HBW database for the San Antonio area. The average value of construction was lowest in San Antonio (average value: $43,470) compared to the other Texas regions reviewed, and the majority of construction activity took place in Bexar County (44 permits).
