A review of the leading home builders in Florida during the month of September 2022
Based on HBW’s latest Construction Data Reports, there were more than 6,315 new residential construction permits added to the HBW database for Florida last month. Out of the hundreds of contractors with new permits on record for the one-month period, there were a few that carried 34 percent of all new construction activity in the Sunshine State; those leading home builders are as follows:
#1 – Lennar Homes – 916 permits
#2 – D.R. Horton – 797 permits
#3 – Pulte Homes – 435 permits
Out of the five major regions reviewed (Southeast, Southwest, Tampa, Orlando, Jacksonville), Lennar Homes ranked #1 in three out five areas, while D.R. Horton took top placement in the remaining regions reviewed.
Here is a closer look at the contractors with the greatest amount of new residential construction activity in each Florida region during the month of September 2022:
Southwest
In southwestern region of Florida, there were 355 contractors with new home construction activity on record with HBW last month, and the following ranked as the top five for total new permits:
