Since the start of this year (thru March 2024), there have been 6,462 new swimming pool permits added to the HBW database for Florida, reflecting approximately a 3 percent year-over-year decrease in new pool construction. In HBW’s latest “Swimming Pool Construction Activity Trend Report”, six major Florida regions were reviewed (Central, West, Southeast, Southwest, Northeast, Northwest), and nearly half of all new swimming pool construction activity could be found in the southwestern and southeastern sections of the state where there were 1,836 and 1,280 new permits on record for the three-month period respectively.
